PANTICOSA FOOTBRIDGE ROUTE

All the info at: pasarelasdepanticosa.com

Discover one of the most exciting and spectacular attractions in Panticosa, the new hanging walkways over the Caldarés River. This 800-meter tour will take you through impressive hanging passages on the gorge wall itself, surrounded by wild nature and unparalleled views. Get ready to experience thrills as you admire the succession of pools and pools of crystal clear water that have been sculpted by the Caldarés River over thousands of years.

The one-hour tour with 160 meters of elevation gain will take you to one of the viewpoints with the best views of Panticosa and the surrounding mountains, the Mirador O Calvé. In addition, on the ascent to the Mirador, you will find the Bunkers, vestiges of Line P, built after the Spanish Civil War.

The route starts in the parking lot of the ski resort, where you will find the specific signage to start the path that will lead you to the footbridges. The first section of footbridges offers great verticality and leads to the hanging walkway that offers a spectacular view of the steep ravine that has originated the waters of the Caldarés River.

After the footbridge, follow the path that enters the wooded area and reach a crossroads where there are two options to complete the route. It is recommended to take the path on the left, which leads to the O’Calvé viewpoint. From there, you can enjoy spectacular views of Panticosa and all the mountains that surround it.

If you’re looking for a unique experience in contact with nature, you can’t miss the walkways over the Caldarés River in Panticosa. We look forward to seeing you!

The tour starts near Rafael Ayerbe Square, under the Collegiate Church, where you can buy your entrance ticket. From there, you will head to the Barranco de la Fuente, a technical descent due to the constant slope and the fact that the ground you will find will be uneven. It is important that you respect the silence of the surroundings and enjoy the great lushness of the ravine.

Afterwards, you will arrive at the river, where you can visit the Picamartillo Cave, a curious hollow formed by the erosion of the water. Then, you can walk along the river to the Azud, the most beautiful area of the route, where a series of walkways begins that will allow you to enjoy a spectacular view of the Vero canyon. The new stretch of footbridges will lead you to the Mirador del Vero platform, where you can enjoy spectacular views of the river, the ravine and Alquézar.

Finally, along a somewhat steep track, between almond and olive trees and lush orchards, you will return to Alquézar. Don’t miss the opportunity to live this unique experience and prepare your senses to enjoy unforgettable sensations in a breathtaking natural environment. Come to Alquézar and let it surprise you.

ROUTE OF THE MONTFALCÓ FOOTBRIDGES

All the info at: pasarelasdemontfalco.com

The Montfalcó Footbridge Route is a unique experience that you can’t miss if you’re looking for an adventure in the middle of nature. If you like walking, enjoying breathtaking landscapes and feeling the adrenaline rush while crossing suspension bridges and stairs protected by towpaths, this is the perfect path for you.

The first section of the route includes a detour to the Hermitage of Santa Quiteria, an obligatory stop to enjoy spectacular views of the Canelles reservoir and the Congost de Mont Rebei. In addition, you can take the opportunity to learn about the flora and fauna of the place thanks to the information panels that you will find along the way.

The second section is even more impressive, with a first step of stairs in which we will overcome a difference in height of 33 meters and a second section of 97 meters in length and 50 meters of vertical difference in height that will allow us to see the Siegue suspension bridge, which connects the provinces of Huesca and Lleida. After crossing the walkway, we will be able to enjoy a well-deserved rest and take some pictures of the breathtaking views.

The route continues down a steep slope until we reach the suspension bridge, which we will cross to begin the ascent along a path in search of the Congost de Mont Rebei. We’ll cross this impressive gorge through a path carved into the rock walls, which in some sections exceeds 500 meters in height. Despite the fact that the entire section is exposed, it has a steel tow rope for greater safety.

Finally, we will reach the second suspension bridge, the Sant Jaume bridge, and then travel a couple of kilometres along a wide path that runs through pastures until we reach the Masieta car park. If we walk back, the total distance will be almost 17 km, which can be a bit hard if we are not very used to walking.

For this reason, we recommend booking a taxi or canoe service for the return trip and enjoy this unique experience in the middle of nature to the fullest. Don’t think twice and dare to live this adventure!

To do it with children, we have this variant of the route.
