Today we go to the Hoya de Huesca, to discover lesser-known but no less spectacular areas full of activities for all audiences. Come on!
HUESCA AND KINGDOM OF LOS MALLOS
Discovering the city with a guided tour of Huesca is the best option to get to know the city of Huesca , with tours of the old town.

VIEWPOINT OF LOS BUITRES
After crossing the town of Sarsamarcuello, a forest track starts from its northern end in perfect condition that leads to the viewpoint. From this ornithological hill you get magnificent panoramic views over the Mallos de Riglos.
It is perfectly adapted to people with reduced mobility and visual impairment. It has parking spaces and an access ramp that leads to the viewpoint. This viewpoint has an interpretive signage in Braille and high relief.
Do not miss: the Wall of the Vultures, where one of the largest colonies of griffon vulture in Europe is located.

Foz de Salinas and Pantano de la Peña
Go to Villalangua and take an excursion to Foz de Salinas
Huge cut in rock of singular beauty, molded by a ravine, and saved thanks to a primitive stone bridge of a single eye that arose as a result of the erosive action of the Asabón River. It is accessed from Villalangua, crossing the river and taking a signposted track. A waterfall of seven meters awaits us after walking for 15 minutes. We will see, on our walk, numerous vultures. Next to the foz we will notice the portillo of the Osqueta, recognizable by its W shape.

Also if you have time you can take a walk through the town of Triste, which is past the reservoir of La Peña.
The origin of its name is attributed to the word “trist” (very difficult) because it is located in the Gorgocha pass, where King Ramiro I ordered the construction of a bridge – today under the waters of the La Peña reservoir – back in the eleventh century.
The church-tower complex, recently rehabilitated, is classified as a heritage asset of cultural interest, although the date of its construction is not precisely known. Some historians have placed its origins towards the seventh century.
ABADIADO AREA
We are going to the Abadiado area. First of all we will make a small stop in Loporzano to buy good bread 🙂 in its famous bakery among the people of Huesca, to visit the Vadiello Reservoir and make an excursion to San Cosme and San Damian.
On the way back you can eat in Siétamo to continue from there the rest of the visits.
After lunch we will go to Bandaliés famous for the Pottery and there was a time that came to have up to 35 pottery workshops. A must visit to its Bandaliés Ceramics Museum (Tel. 974 262 077).
In Ayera you can visit the Piedra Mora. From Ayera to the Stone of the Moors medieval habitat of great interest to the visitor. The route is suitable for all types of public, does not present technical difficulties, and is also possible by mountain bike since its route runs almost entirely along a forest track. And finally we will visit the jewel of the corana of this fantastic day, we will go to Ibieca to visit San Miguel de Foces in Ibieca. Temple, national monument, distinguished and famous for the mural paintings that it keeps inside, belonging to the linear Gothic style, of the fourteenth century. More info here.
