Unforgettable Easter getaway to the Benasque 🌲🏔🌷 Valley

Today we go on holiday at Easter to the Benasque Valley, located in the easternmost part of the province and where we find the highest peaks of the Pyrenees such as Aneto.

Impossible panoramas, unique villages and a gastronomy to lick your fingers.

Route through the most beautiful villages of the Benasque Valley.

One of the ways to explore this magical valley is knowing the different populations that form it.

Anciles

The town of Anciles, in the Benasque Valley, usually appears in the lists that are periodically published with the most beautiful villages of the peninsula. This is no coincidence. Although its size brings it closer to a village than to a village, the wonderful set of houses it gathers and its state of conservation explain the unanimity of praise that it arouses among visitors.

You can accompany the visit with a walk from Anciles to the bucolic reservoir of Eriste. A very pleasant pre-autumn walk and for all audiences.

SAHUN

Very close to Eriste we find Sahún. It is a picturesque mountain village of narrow streets and popular architecture that has managed to preserve the charm of yesteryear.

BENASQUE

A walk through Benasque leads to know the mountain life because it is a typical mountain village where you can see large houses built to live isolated from the cold and also some noble mansions distinguished by their shields.

BENASQUE

Halfway between Benasque and the highest village in the province of Huesca, Cerler with 1,540m of altitude, we find the viewpoint of the Benasque Valley.

A spectacular viewpoint where we can see Benasque, Anciles and Eriste in front next to its reservoir. The Sierra de Chía, the Perdiguero and the Estós Valley among others. Just behind you will see Cerler. It is definitely worth a visit if you are in the area and especially at dawn (The sun will rise behind) and dusk (it will light up in front of you).

CERLER

Another unique town so marked by its ski resort and its delicious gastronomy. It is worth an excursion to its 3 waterfalls. We leave you here the complete excursion.

Excursions for all audiences full of magic.

Other excursions for all audiences that will leave you with your heart on the surface, are:

GORGAS DEL ALBA

The path of the Gorgas de Alba, located next to the plain of Los Baños or Turpí. It is a pleasant walk through the forests of the area, where we can contemplate and discover some of the species of trees and shrubs of the valley, such as black pines, firs and yews. The tour also has another great attraction: the spectacular waterfalls that make their way through the gorgas (gorges). We leave you here the complete excursion.

FORAU D ́AIGUALLUT

A path of little difficulty – suitable even for children – through which we will penetrate some of the most spectacular corners of the natural park, passing through the forau that gives it its name, a karst sinkhole that, literally, “engulfs” the waters of the Aneto glacier after a colorful waterfall that ends up originating the birth of the Garonne River, in the neighboring country. We leave you here the complete excursion.
