What to see and discover in Torla 🌲🏔 The Magic of the Puerta de Ordesa
Inevitably, Torla must be related to the Ordesa y Monte Perdido National Park, which is its main access door. The photograph of the village with the great wall of the Mondarruego massif in the background is one of the images with the greatest iconographic value of the entire Pyrenees.
A walk through its streets, enjoy the incredible views and good gastronomy (you can not stop tasting the beef from the Broto Valley among other delicious traditional dishes), will make you spend an unforgettable day.
From any panoramic view emerges as if by charm the tower of the parish church of San Salvador, from the sixteenth century, an example of late Gothic in which the beautiful cover stands out as the last trace of its Romanesque origin. Inside is kept the valuable gilded silver cross of the sixteenth century. Over the river the Glera Bridge, very renovated and medieval.
The architecture is austere and functional. Buildings such as Casa Viu, is one of the houses with more history of Torla. The French Pyrenean Lucien Briet stopped by it in October 1910, attracted by its structure of “strong house” of the Pyrenees with interior patio, and by the numerous architectural details offered by the property.
On the outskirts of the town is the free parking for vehicles and where you have bus services to the Pradera de Ordesa.
The use of a mask is mandatory for access to the bus. Please do not use the service if you have symptoms of the disease and keep the safety distance during waiting at stops and access to the bus.

You can also access the interior of the Ordesa valley on foot, by the old road from Torla to Ordesa called Turieto Bajo (here you have the excursion) throughout the year. An exceptional walk full of contrasts that reveals at every step the magic of the Ordesa y Monte Perdido National Park.
